Description - Three years back I was a owner of the old Tata Sumo which I considered to be one of the best cars for the area where I lived in. However with 5 years in running it was a time to shift to a newer SUV. Just when I started my search the company launched the new Tata Sumo Grande. Being a Sumo owner for years it actually caught my eye. It goes without saying that this Sumo was way better in looks from what I had before. Also it fitted within my budget of an SUV car in the bracket of Rs.10lacs.

This new avatar really looked promising and promised to perform as my previous Sumo had been. Inside it has been given a great combination and craftsmanship which had redefined what actually Sumo had been earlier. The only thing which I have observed with use is that too much use of plastics could have been reduced. For example the plastics which make the Grills look to be a bit cheaper to many.

The tall boy look with a superior handling from before has brought in a better stability which I had felt for almost two years now. The car packs in power with the improved interiors and smoother shift of gears. The thing which I was disappointed with is the space in the third row which seems to have been made only for the kids in my family. They are hard to get in. Also the AC has not worked promisingly over the period I have used the car.

However it might be a long road before all the features inside could be fixed well. Overall I would like to give the credit to the designers at Tata who have made a wonderful compact SUV which by no means is less than the others in its class.
