Launched in 2010 by Toyota India and showcased at the Auto Expo of the same year, Toyota Etios is believed to the most cost-effective sedan. It is especially for the Indian buyers who would ideally love to enjoy the combination of the striking interior, great power, higher fuel economy, and flawless performance on the unpredictable Indian roads. This sedan is in competition with Maruti Swift Dzire, Hyundai Accent, and Tata Manza. Toyota Etios is out to offer you a comfortable ride with its excellent technology and overall features.

Engine

All the variants of Toyota Etios come with 1496cc, 2NR-FE engine to emit a power of 90 PS at 5600 rpm as well as a torque of 132 Nm at 3000 rpm. Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) is the common fuel system in each of them. In addition, all the variants come with five gears, four cylinders, manual transmissions, and petrol fuel tank capacity of 45 litres.

Design

The design for the car is simply bold that offers great functionality along with an affordable luxurious look. It is quite compact to offer space to all the five seater. The front face appears like a smiling face with cheeks featuring dimples (headlamps). You can expect a variety of common comfort features such as trunk lights, height adjustable front seat belts, and low fuel warning lights. Most of the variants also offer power windows, power steering, and accessory power outlet. The rear seats are much comfortable with the right degree of cushioning. Therefore, you need not have to worry about the comfort level of Toyota Etios. Talking about its exterior, it is quite sharp and bold. The exterior features are also worth applauding, which include tinted glass, boot release, and body-colored bumpers. Apart from these utilities, some variants also offer adjustable headlights, anti-lock braking system, fog lamps, and integrated antennas.

Interiors

The interior features are not that many, as compared to other sedans. One of the variants offer only AC and glove compartment, while another one offers adjustable steering column, rear and front speakers, and audio system remote control along with AC as well as the glove compartment. A special mention goes to its central instrumental console featuring a smart look in such a conservative sedan. However, the only drawback of this sedan is its poor quality of the dashboard.

Safety

Some of the most common safety features you will find in Toyota Etios are optional anti-theft alarm, rear seat belts, child lock, door ajar warning, rear view mirrors, front and side impact beams, engine immobilizer, driver seat adjust, central locking, steering wheel adjust, and engine check. All of them offer you a long, safe drive with your family anytime you want.

Variants, Price, and Colors

Toyota Etios is available in four variants namely, J, G, V, and VX. All of them come in five colors such as White, Vermilion Red, Celestial Black, Serene Bluish Silver, and Harmony Beige. Toyota Etios Price for these models varies from Rs. 5.07 to Rs. 7.01 Lakhs.
