Audi Q5 was launched in India in 2009 with only two variants namely the 3.0 TDI q and the 2.0 TFSI q. Audi Q5 was created as a smaller version of the SUV Audi Q7 which was launched before it because there were some Indian consumers who prefer a smaller SUV although Q7 is doing well in the market. It is to be noted, however, that although available in the Indian market, manufacture of Audi Q5 is still in plants in Germany and these are exported as built products to India.

Engine

Audi Q5 comes in two variants in India. The petrol variant is the Audi Q5 TFSI quattro with 1,984cc, four-cylinder engine and can run up to 5.8 city miles per liter. It has a maximum output of 155KW at 4300 to 6000rpm and maximum torque of 350Nm at 1500 to 4200 rpm. This variant contains standard car features such as air conditioning, CD player, anti-lock braking system, and power steering among others. The diesel variant is the Audi Q5 3.0 TDI quattro with a 2,967cc, V6-cylinder engine with turbo charger and can go as far as 7.8 city miles per liter. The maximum output is 176KW at 4000 to 4400rpm and a maximum torque of 500Nm at 1500 to 3000rpm. This model has the same features as the 2.0 TFSI, however, it does not have a CD player.

Built and Styling

Audi Q5 is a dashing five-seater compact sports utility vehicle that exudes a medley of innovation and style. Audi Q5, despite its SUV classification, exhibits elegance that gives it a remarkable sporty but chic appeal. It has stone grey accents along the wheel arch and the doors that give it a more attractive appearance. For physical protection against chipping its smooth exterior, it has front and rear spoilers made of stainless steel. Audi Q5 also provides a spacious interior that gives a comfortable room for five passengers. To spice up the comfort, it has a three-zone automatic climate control, pollen filter, and humidity and sun sensors for better temperature adjustment within the vehicle.

Safety

Audi Q5 is equipped with advanced safety features for a quality driving experience. It has an anti-lock brake system, hydraulic brake assist, electronic stabilization program that prevents skidding, and tyre pressure monitoring system. These are just some of the safety features Audi Q5 has available. These devices are designed and provided by Audi Car makers in order to ensure the safety of the passengers in the event of an accident.

Variants, Prices, and Colors

Audi Q5 comes in four vibrant colors to choose from in the Indian market. These colors are ibis white, ice silver metallic, garnet red pearl, and meteor grey pearl. The 3.0 TDI q variant has two additional colors: brilliant black and stratus blue. Audi Q5 variants in the Indian market are the diesel 3.0 TDI quattro and the petrol 2.0 TSFI quattro. Prices of Audi Q5 range from Rs. 38,94,000 to Rs. 44,94,000 with the diesel 3.0 TDI quattro model having the higher rate.
