Mercedes-Benz M-Class
Overview
The Mercedes-Benz M-Class is a mid-size luxury SUV manufactured by Mercedes-Benz division of the DaimlerChrysler. The M-Class was launched in the U.S. in 1997, but has been brought to India a good ten years later.
In the U.S. and other countries, the M-Class is available in a choice of four models: ML320 CDI, ML350, ML550, and ML63 AMG. However, in India, it is available only in two models: ML320 CDI and ML3...

Overview
The venerable Mercedes-Benz SL-Class luxury roadster has been graded as one of the most fascinating and coveted cars in the world. The 2007 SL is the fifth generation from the royal racy SL-Class family.
The 2007 SL has revamped its interior and exterior styling, without loosing its mystique and excels in all the same ways as its predecessors. The new generation offers a sophisticated design, groundbreaking technology, exceptiona...

We had then bemoaned the lack of power in the petrol-engined car and been enamoured with the power, torque and above all, the efficiency of the diesel. Since then we have lived with the C200 CDI through one of our four-season long term tests while DaimlerChrysler India started making the C200K in India to add the much required boost to the petrol engined.
Even though one could not fault the C200 CDI in any respect, especially in terms of power or torque, that is no reason for DaimlerChrysler to stop the march of technology. In its continuous process of technology development, the com...

The E220 CDI was nearly the perfect luxury diesel, but Mercedes-Benz has added one more cylinder in a bid to make the most complete executive sedan ever. It may be expensive, but nothing as competent has ever graced our roads before. “ The E270 CDI is capable of doing what the 220 CDI did — with half the effort.”
Even before you've driven a kilometre, the mildly discordant but pleasing soft clatter from under the bonnet tells you this engine has five and not four cylinders. Back after a gap of four years, Merc once again has a five-cylinder diesel present in its E-cl...

It’s taken over from where its predecessor left off and the new S-class is a league ahead of the model it replaces. The question is, how much better can it really be? :
Design, Engineering and Interiors:
The new S is certainly radical in the looks department and its styling splits opinion right down the middle. Longer and larger than the outgoing car, the new S has an all-new profile that blends sporty, large wheel arches and a low nose with a Maybach limo-like steeply raked rear windscreen and boot section. At the front, a very modern fender line...

The latest Merc in the stable came here just a few months after it made its debut in Europe, replacing the solid but unspectacular old E-class. Launched in 2002, it heralded a return to Mercedes-Benz's traditional build quality, while reaching new heights of driver enjoyment.
Design, Engineering and Interiors:
The E-class is a clean, handsome design, with sleek, flowing lines. It has the old E's four oval headlamps, but these are now sleeker and flattened, which look more sporty, the entire nose is smaller and lower, the rear very purposeful and muscular. This is the...

Mercedes-C 200k
The C-class was a landmark car from Mercedes-Benz, the first of its cars to be designed around the driver. Neat, compact and well built, it is as well engineered as you'd expect a Merc to be, but more fun than most, and now, it has been given the engines it always needed, as well as a freshening-up. But with three larger Mercs above it, is the C really a good buy?
Design, Engineering and Interiors:
The C-class looks like a shrunken E-class with an S-class rear, neat, muscular and sleek. The interlocked headlamps look great, and the squat, taut shape of the car give...
