Maruti Gypsy King

Maruti Gypsy is one of those successful utility vehicles which is produced by Maruti and was brought in the car market in the year 1986. The vehicle is easy to use and has an engine system similar to that of Maruti Esteem. The car is used by the police and defense forces.

Gypsy Engine

All the Maruti Gypsy King variants are powered by 1298 cc engine but some of them differ in the engine type they use. Maruti Gypsy King Soft Top and King Ambulance are equipped with G13BB inline engine while the Hard Top variant uses G13BB engine. While on the other hand, the variants King Hard Top BS IV and King Soft Top BS IV come with inline engine. Except for King Hard Top BS IV and King Soft Top BS IV which use MPFi fuel system, all other variants have MPFi Gasoline fuel system. Besides, all the variants give a peak power of 80 Bhp at 6000 Rpm and a maximum torque of 103 Nm at 4300 Rpm.  The engine is designed in such a way that it gets heated up in cold conditions while does not heat up to extremes of temperature in hot conditions.

It has the basic comfort features such as accessory power outlet and low fuel warning light as well as trunk light in some of its variants. It lacks style and has uncomfortable rear seats.

Gypsy Interiors

The variants of Maruti Gypsy are either soft top or hard top. The main difference between both the types is that the soft top variant has two-center facing benches while the hard top variant has a traditional bench. The variants come with a give compartment and lack other interior features.

Gypsy Safety

Maruti Gypsy does not have many active and passive safety features however there are some of the features present so that one has a comfortable and safe journey. All the variants are equipped with front impact beams and side impact beams to minimize the effects of collision. There are also child safety locks and warning system to make sure that the passengers are safe and sound. In some of the variants such as King Hard Top BS IV and Soft Top BS IV some of the safety features like driver seat adjust, passenger seat adjust and engine check warning are missing which are present in other variants.
