Chevrolet Aveo U-VA
Overview
General Motors India, the wholly-owned subsidiary of the US-based auto major General Motors (GM), launched the Chevrolet Aveo's hatch version, the Chevrolet Aveo U-VA recently. The "bow-tie" has always played a vital part in India's automotive scene; GM's tryst with India began in 1928, with assembling Chevrolets. The Chevy, as it is commonly known, has positioned itself as a premium brand in the Indian market.

Small is big for carmakers in India. And for GM it doesn’t get bigger with the new Chevrolet Spark. This is the car that promises to become GM’s biggest seller and seriously boost the company’s presence on the sub-continent.
So is the Spark all set to pick up where the old Matiz left? Is it more than just a badge swap from Daewoo to Chevrolet? We find out. :
Design, Engineering and Interiors:
The Spark’s mono-volume shape is not as extreme as the Estilo’s and the bonnet isn’t as sharply raked but you can’t miss the...

The Forester wears a Chevrolet badge but is made by Subaru and is a cross between an estate and an SUV. Underneath the hybrid looks, which may not appeal to many, the Forester which is based on the legendary Subaru Impreza, has a unique repertoire of talents that makes it a delight to drive.
Chevrolet. An institution, the heartbeat of America and also the biggest brand of General Motors in its home market. GM has also chosen Chevrolet as its 'umbrella brand' for Asia, under which the world's biggest car maker will launch a wide range of products from its formidable alliance of Asi...

Posted on:- Feb 17 2009 : Chevrolet Tavera Neo
The Tavera is a new-generation Multi Utility Vehicle that is essentially sold as the Isuzu Panther in South East Asia. It has been localised heavily in India to keep the price down.
Design, Engineering and Interiors:
The Tavera has smart, conservative looks, a blend between an SUV (the pretty rear and two-tone paint), an MUV (the boxy shape) and an MPV (the short, sloping bonnet).
Sitting on 15-inch alloys, the Tavera’s smooth, rounded styling is a well-balanced design. Exterior detailing is minimal but the Tav draws from its Isuzu DNA. From ...

GM's biggest success in India, the Optra has neatly filled the slot vacated by the Opel Astra in the entry-luxury segment. A handsome car brimming with showroom appeal, the Optra also has a competitive price tag and plenty of standard equipment to help it along. Plus, Chevrolet keeps bringing out special editions, which are even better value, so keeping an eye on this car is a good idea.:
Design, Engineering and Interiors:
Since Daewoo was taken over by GM, the Korean firm's products have started to be sold under various brand-names over the world, so the car t...

There was a breed of cars called Hot hatches; they got lost a certain car called the Fiat palio 1.6 GTX. These cars are meant to rip the road apart and make the miser look like a sinner. Burn the petrol to the envy of the sheiks of Dubai; turn the heads of all the babes and in one shot take you from zero to hero. They need not make practical sense like all the other econo-misers; interiors and other things hold no real sense of achievement. Its all about whats under that hood.
The SRV is meant to bring you the same sense of joy; joy that can only be had with a three digit figure ...

Posted on:- Feb 17 2009 : Chevrolet Aveo
The Chevrolet Aveo has been some time coming. Those who have lived in Bangalore must be all too familiar with the chess board style grey small car that was being tested everywhere; well the smaller version didn't make it here. The saloon though, did.
Design and Styling
The design and styling of the Indian Chevrolet Aveo is based on the Daewoo Kalos, but make no mistake they aren't really the same cars. This one has undergone major treatments at the hands of ace stylist Giorgietto Giugiaro, and the statement it makes is quite a big one. It shows off like much bigger c...
