Yamaha Gladiator launched by Yamaha Motors

Andhra Pradesh, May 18, 2006: The Japanese company Yamaha today launched Gladiator in Andhra Pradesh. Looking at the demand of the youth this bike has been specially designed with 125 cc four stroke engine.

Andhra Pradesh now accounts for about 7 per cent share for Yamaha Motors and by 2007; this will be ramped up to 15 per cent with more new models. Of the 48,000 bikes it markets in the State, about 7,000 would be Gladiators. The company now accounts for about 5 per cent market share in the bike segment and expects to grow this to about 12 per cent by 2006. Mr. Nagarajan Srikant, regional business head of Yamaha Motors ltd. mentioned this.

The company is introducing two variants of Yamaha Gladiator with a price difference of about Rs. 3000.
