Mumbai, February 28, 2008: TVS Motor has decided to launch new TVS flame 125cc bike using single spark plug ignition technology, reports Economic Times. This is in the wake of its legal battle with rival Bajaj Auto over producing and selling bikes using twin spark plug ignition technology. TVS-M had launched TVS flame 125cc bike with twin spark plug, but on February 16, Madras High Court again restrained the company from selling the bike using such a technology. The court passed the order after Bajaj claimed that TVS had infringed a patent granted to it by the patent office.

The company will use a new and unique engine, specially developed, patented and licensed to TVS motor by AVL, Austria, the world leaders in internal combustion engine technology. This engine features a 3-value dual induction system utilizing universally-accepted and traditionally-proven single spark plug ignition.
