New Delhi, October 11, 2006:  At the Maruti Suzuki raid D Himalaya Rally, a series of achievements were made by various contestants. The rally was organized by Himalayan Motor Sport.

Mr. Suresh Rana won of a hat trick of awards in the xtreme category. He collected 02:19:20 penalty points to beta his close rival. Mr. Rajesh Chalana won the car category and Mr. Farhan Vohra won the sports utility vehicle category.

The rally route was through Gramphoo, Kaza, Patseo and Leh. Ninety two rallyists were flagged-off from Shimla on September 30 and covered 2139 km with 725 km in 16 competitive stages in seven days. They crossed six of the world’s highest mountain passes some well over 5500m.

Mr. I Anson, the national demon won the two wheeler category.
