Mumbai, November 24, 2006: A 24 hour cool cab service has been started in Mumbai by Mumbai Gold Cab Company. It is being promoted by Fulora Foundation. The company is targeting big and powerful corporates like Kingfisher airlines, MTNL, ONGC etc.

The company aims to provide quality service to Mumbai people and make travel easy for them. The company is in settlement with Hyundai Motors and general Motors to hire cars like Chevrolet Optra, Aveo, Hyundai Accent and Verna as cool cabs.

Book a Cab 

Presently also Mumbai Gold Cab service is working very well in the city. Cars like Maruti Esteem, Tata Indigo and Marina are being used for this service. There are direct lines for cool cabs which a customer can contact and the search a cab in the same area and location. The customer just has to give a call at 022-32449999 and the cab is made available by the company.

The cab has a mobile display terminal and the driver gets the message in both the languages i.e. Hindi as well as English. Currently the company has 30 cool cabs and them targeting to have like 600 in the near future.

The cab has facilities like mobile chargers, music system and a digital map of Mumbai. Special parking facilities have been made in the city between Colaba, Powai and a parking hub at thane.

Though the taxi men have been against this new concept of cool cabs but it has been seen that this system is getting in more business. The cool cab company is offering various incentives to the drivers to generate a hype of this. Accident policy of Rs. 5 lakhs with Rs. 2 lakhs medi claim is being offered.

Now this system has become so popular that almost 50000 black and white cabs are seen all around. Though it is still; facing a tough competition from Volvo bus service.
