Pune, August 22, 2006: The joint venture between MAN and Pune based Force Motors, has given birth to new commercial vehicles which were unveiled recently at Hanover Expo Show.
These four Cargo line trucks will not only be available in India but internationally everywhere. This show was the right place to present these trucks as this show attracts customers globally.
MAN Force is setting up a vast dealership network in the country to have a strong sales result. The production will take place at Pitampura, Madhya Pradesh and trucks will also be exported to Asia Pacific regions. The product line consists of tippers, dumpers, trailers, rigids and fire engines.
Mr. Abhay Firodia, chairman and managing director of Force Motors also mentioned about the second joint venture between Man AG and Force Motors. This JV would begin as soon as production starts. An upbeat Mr. Firodia pointed to the `tectonic’ shift in the commercial vehicle market during the first four months of the current fiscal: there has been a 10 per cent shift in sales of trucks of 30 tonnes.
He further added that, we had thought of locating the engines and transmissions line at Chakan, but that is now at Pithampur. The state government has to improve the infrastructure there: all the units already located there are asking for it. We will utilize this land in the next six months.
