Mumbai, December 8th, 2006: Kinetic Blaze, the exciting 165cc automatic from Kinetic Motors, has won “Best Design Automobile” award for 2006 in two-wheelers by India’s leading automotive magazine Top Gear. The award is the only one for two wheelers and Kinetic Blaze won from among six nominations that included several premium motorcycles such as Honda Shine, Suzuki Heat/Zeus, Hero Honda X-treme and Yamaha Gladiator. The award was selected on the basis of four crucial parameters – design, styling, practicality and suitability to Indian needs.

The winner was decided by a highly eminent international jury panel that comprised some of the world’s greatest automobile designers – European design legends Mr. Lorenzo Ramaciotti, Mr. Ercole Spada, Mr. Tom Tjaarda, Mr. Rajesh Mirajjar (independant acclaimed designer), Mr. Neeraj Kanwar (CEO Apollo tyres) and Mr. Gautam Sen, editor of Top Gear.

Kinetic Blaze, the first launch from Kinetic’s groundbreaking Italiano series is an extraordinary category creator vehicle with high-tech specifications, gorgeous, detailed design and practical, user-friendly features. It is India’s first powerful automatic with a 165cc, 4-valve engine that outputs nearly 12 BHP power. The Blaze offers several features such as front telescopic shocks for extra stability (first time in India), disk brakes (first time in India) 12” tyres (first time in India), protective front visor, comprehensive instrumentation, split seat with large under seat storage space and twin lamps. It shows off its Italian design legacy in its attention-grabbing styling and majestic road presence. It is priced at Rs. 50,999 for drum brake version and Rs. 53,999 for disk brake version.
