Chennai, August 29, 2006: The Specialist Company is designing high tonnage vehicles, Asian Motor Works today launched its two HCV s i.e. a 49 tonne tractor trailer and a 25 tonne tripper.
Mr. Anirudh Bhuwalka, promoter and director of AMW told today that the company is assembling various parts from different companies and manufacturing some on its own.
The company buys engines from Cummins India, gearboxes from ZF, suspension systems from Meritor and clutch from Valeo and adds them to the cabin and chassis that it manufactures at its Bhuj plant. The gear boxes were manufactured in India.
Both the vehicles i.e. 4923 tractor and 2523 tipper run on 235 hp cumin engine. They are used by steel industries and for mining purposes.
Looking at the growing demand for such vehicles the company is manufacturing the same to meet the requirements in the best possible manner. They have built a vest network throughout the country by having 30 dealers and 450 sub dealers.
