Geneva, February 28, 2006: Targeting the European customer demand in the D segment Hyundai Motor Company has come up with Genus concept vehicle.
Blending the coupe wagon crossover with modern techniques of designing comes this concept. Designed at European Design Center in Russlesheim this sporty vehicle is all set to shake everyone with its style and elegance. It is a traditional wagon with an extra ordinary appeal. Giving superb comfort it is following the concept of multi usage. Best four wheeler for long journeys, vacations, tours etc.
It has a retraceable bent seat which makes it very flexible. There is a sliding deck that is concealed with the bumper that can also be used separately for transportation of bicycle and other equipments. The 2.2 liter common rail diesel engines make the drive all the more economical and smooth.
When it comes to its outlook, Genus gives a top class effect. It appears like a hexagonal mouth from the front with a jewel like swept back. The roof line is tapering and the head lamps appear like flying birds. The interplay of the shoulder line between the front and rear lamp reminds of a silk cloth draped over the string of a bow which is fixed under tension at both ends. The panoramic side glass is chopped by the clamshell tailgate. The shut lines of the tailgate orbit around the rear glass producing a ring structure, which doubles as the D-pillar. This element, which intersects the rounded tail, is held in place by the tear trop shaped rear lamps.
The interiors have been made very spacious to give the passengers a comfortable and relaxing feel. The company has made special efforts in terms of luggage space for the convenience of the users.
