Kerela, December 04, 2006: A new generation battery operated bikes have been launched today by a Ludhiana based company Avon cycles in Kerela.

There is a small electrical motor fitted with it. It has a rechargeable three cell battery. The bike can be driven with two systems either normally using pedals or the electric drive system. The battery can be charged within or outside the vehicle.

The company has designed this bike in a very unique manner. The company is making sure that there no problem regarding spare parts and after sales services. The bike requires no license or registration. With a low maintenance cost this bike is very eco friendly also.

It is a giving a wonderful speed of 23 km per hour.
